Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They are widely used to make websites work, improve user experience, and provide information to site owners.

Under the Irish ePrivacy Regulations (SI 336/2011) and GDPR, we must obtain your consent before placing non-essential cookies on your device. Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from this requirement.

3. Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the platform to function. They enable you to log in, maintain your session, and remember your cookie preferences. These cookies are set without requiring your consent under the ePrivacy exemption for technically necessary cookies.

You can block strictly necessary cookies via your browser settings, but this will prevent you from logging in or using core platform features.

4. Analytics Cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use barbify.ie — which pages are most visited, how long visitors stay, and where they come from. This helps us improve the platform.

Analytics cookies are placed only after you click “Accept All” in the cookie consent banner. If you choose “Necessary Only”, no analytics cookies are set.

Google Analytics data is transferred to the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses. For more information, see Google’s Privacy Policy.

5. Marketing Cookies

We use the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram. The Pixel records when you visit barbify.ie after seeing one of our ads, so we can measure ad performance.

The Meta Pixel is activated only after you click “Accept All”. Meta may combine this data with your Facebook profile information. See Meta’s Data Policy for details.

6. How to Manage Your Cookie Preferences

On Barbify: Use the cookie preference banner shown on your first visit to accept or decline non-essential cookies. To change your preference, clear your browser cookies and reload the page to see the banner again.

Via your browser: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies in their privacy settings. Note that blocking all cookies will prevent you from logging into the platform.
